We had watched the Kennedy assaination, and that of Lee Harvey Oswald, and watched men land on the moon. We watched the Vietnam War or were part of it. We protested against the war, for civil rights, and joined NOW. And now we're watching it all fall apart, so we're out there again.

College on the GI bill. We grew up (often in newly created suburbs) in segregated schools where we had attack drills, hiding under our desks from Soviet aggression. We grew up to relive our parent's lives, working in the factories or, now sent to college or able to work our way through.
