Sooner, certainly for us out in Seattle

What I want to know is, what authority is directing people to surrender these controls? Presumably Trump but musk has no authority himself. Are people just immediately caving?

I’m really interested to see if this helps you out and if you have any big adjustments or insights around how to improve it

My dose of meds is on my nightstand next to a glass of water. I’ll take them, get up, grab my clothes and things to take downstairs and bypass a ton of interruptions and redirects. Things go startlingly faster

All I have to do to make coffee is walk in and hit a button. Most of the tasks are teed up to be resistant to finding kids or spouse where they usually aren’t etc

It is crusty but it works and that’s where I am at right now

It’s stupid, but I have a pinned doc in Notes that I use as my checklist. I copy the whole thing into a new note with the current date as the name in a folder called Daily Tasks. Then I start marking things off

In the evening I open up the list and work through the individual items when I get an organic pause to knock one of them off. I’ll finish off what’s left during the last half an hour or so while I am getting ready for bed.

The tasks are small. Big win when they’re already done in the morning, tho

Can play guitar for a few minutes at a time but it gets too painful very quickly.

Well, apparently he doesn’t own a Les Paul, was never into Judas Priest, and didn‘t win the awesome wife lottery.

Plus, um, all the other stuff.

…that is currently doomscrolling instead of doing tai chi
January 29, 2025 at 4:08 PM
But ANYTHING that can get randomized now gets done the night before: coffee made, meds out, clothes picked, commute bag packed with laptop and workout clothes, headphones charged and ready where I do tai chi at home before I leave, etc.

These are the acts of a desperate man.
