I'm a big fan of English wine mate of you like white and sparkling wines. Most of my wines are English now. A give away is that most of the French champagne vineyards are buying land in the UK now.

When I used to live alone I used to have to make really simple bland meals to stop me ordering a takeaway every day. Think it was mostly a turkey breast slice, couscous, chopped veg and tinned tomatoes.

I think that's the one I have let me go downstairs and check. Got 2 demi glace, 2 mushroom soup and 1 minestrone soup. Takes about 3/4 minutes to make and adds depth of flavour to my sauces. I used it in my gravy today.

I wouldn't cook if it was just me. I really cba. A grad at work was moaning about the same thing yesterday. Says he eats the same meal 2/3 days in a row.

Are you really going to become a chef? Brave man! I'm worried if I try to do it for work I wouldn't enjoy it anymore! I'm being a bit more adventurous too as I'm gearing up for Xmas. I'm experimenting with adding demi glace to things atm. Mrs bought 2 industrial sized tubs of the powder so why not?

Cooking is definitely my escape. I do a blow out cook on a Saturday where I do 4-6 courses & mentally cosplay as a chef whilst wallowing in self pity.

I'm the same but I'm not allowed to do more than 2 courses anymore as the washing up gets a bit too much. I don't cos play as someone who washes up 😂

Sorry to hear that mate, how are you feeling now? Honestly, I find cooking helps with mine which is why I like to have a big cook on the weekend, something about everyone enjoying it seems to work for me.
