Will mainly "tweet" (?) about films I am watching. Like horror, especially zombies, and sci-fi. Also love those really bad films that reach the point of being "so bad they are good"...
Maybe I am stuck in a time loop because I am watching another Japanese time travel film...this time it is a film called "River". Will be interesting to see where this goes...

I watched another Japanese time travel film last night called "Time trip app" which was a bit of a random find. Some high schoolers and their teacher accidentally travel back in time to medieval times and get involved in a samurai battle/stand off situation they have been studying in class. Not bad.

Currently struggling to watch "RIPD'. Ryan Reynolds is in it with Jeff Bridges. They are dead cops working for some department in the afterlife to catch "deddoes" in the real world. It's like Men in Black basically and not that good. Doesn't feel like it makes a lot of sense.

Why oh why did I put on "God's of the Deep" on Prime? It's like a scifi channel film. So cheap and crappy, although there are occasional laughs. At least it's only about 80 minutes long! I need a good film to finish 2025 with now...

Bit of a random pick for a film tonight to start with. "Palm Springs" which was a stuck in a time loop comedy which was pretty good. Let's see what i can find next to watch...

Final film of the night and decided to go for another time travel film. And what a good choice - "Time Addicts". Australian film, really good writing and acting. Laughed a lot throughout as well. Neat storyline and well told. Great soundtrack making a very tense atmosphere at times. Recommended.

Just finished watching "Ash" on Amazon Prime - a sci-fi horror. Liked it overall although not entirely. Bit similar to "The Thing" but obviously not as good. Dragged a bit to begin with and not sure the "flashback" structure worked for me. Maybe a linear storyline would have been good as well?

First film of the night is "Absolutely Anything", a sci-fi comedy with Simon Pegg which is a bit crappy. Disappointed that the earth didn't get destroyed at the end instead of the dog saving the day.

Finishing off tonight's film watching by looking at "Weird: the Al Yankovic story" with Daniel Radcliffe as Weird Al. Enjoying the humor and action sequences, yes there's fights and shoot outs! Very watchable film.

Now watching a Japanese time travel film "Beyond the infinite two minutes" which, surprise surprise, i am finding pretty confusing! Reminds me of another time travel japanese film I watched a while ago where some teenagers made a time travel machine (what was that film?). Kinda like it anyway 🤷 🤪

Just put on "Velocipastor" which is a film that's been out a few years and i have wanted to watch it for a long time. Already living up to expectations with ridiculous scenes and script and acting! Deliberately so bad it's good, but it works for me (it is deliberate...right?)

Watched Japanese horror film "Re/member" which was not too bad. Occasionally slow and maybe a bit over long but some good action/fight sequences with the monster. Not a classic though.

Started watching a weird film called "Cycle" on Netflix and it was pretty much unwatchable and couldn't finish it. Now watching an 80s HK film "the Dead and the Deadly" which I expect is a bit of a comedy/action/horror film. Hoping it's good...

I ended up enjoying "Blasted". Once it got going it was pretty decent. Now looking for something else on Netflix. The selection of films is a bit limited compared to what I thought was going to be available...

Browsing around Netflix trying to find something that looked interesting and didn't really find much. Ended up putting on a film called "Blasted" which i have never heard of. Turns out to be a Norwegian alien invasion horror/comedy kind of thing. Mildly entertaining so far...

Just finished watching Tobe Hooper's 80s slasher The Funhouse and enjoyed it. Took me a while to realise I hadn't seen any kills for a long time, which is a bit unusual for a horror, but I was still enjoying all the scene setting and atmosphere building. Very good soundtrack as well. Worth watching.

Just watched "Tank Girl" and it was a bit underwhelming and sometimes annoying. Good soundtrack though.

"Freaky" was quite a watch. I like clever horror. Messing with the conventions and managing to do something different with clichéd horror film scenarios. Freaky really pulls it off. Impressive stuff across the board, writing, acting, music, the sets and locations, everything. If you like horror...

Well, they've kept it going, but not in the way I was initially expecting. We now have a fantastically tightly written Freaky Friday variant storyline going on. (Of course! That's why it's called Freaky!) And i am enjoying every minute. Very cool idea.
