I don't know the origins of this board but feels like a colonial vestige the subsequent governments had continued to use for their own reasons.

It's comical that OTT content can get to your homes without review,while going to a movie which needs much more conscious effort needs all this censorship.

Censor board should be renamed to Ratings board and can only certify a film rating, they should not have power ro prescribe changes or edits.
