Realized I haven't shown any of my #knitting progress. I have the first three sections done and the fourth is almost complete. I actually had to frog a couple rows today as I'd completely messed up a row of the seed stitch. Repeated the row 1 pattern instead of doing row 2. That was super stressful.

Decided I wanted to try to learn to knit. As a treat for finishing my last project and starting a new hobby I picked up this yarn bowl at the farmer's market tonight.

I can cast on relatively well. Figuring out the knit stitch is giving me a little trouble. I'll get there.

Just recently finished a cross stitch that I started just about a year ago.
The front of a completed crossstitch done on yellow Aida cloth. It's a 3/4 diorama scene of cloud and tifa in the bar 7th heaven. Cloud is sitting at the bar with his buster sword on his back. Tifa is behind the bar. The characters are from the game final fantasy 7. This is the 8 bit version not the recent remake so the characters are pixelated.

So I'm bad at judging how close I am. And I did little else. But about two weeks shy of one year the cross stitch is finished! Cloud and Tifa are forever at the bar. Yay! Plus the back for you sickos. You know who you are. #crossstitch #finalfantasy7 #ff7 #crafts

A work in progress cross stitch that's probably about 90% done. It's a diorama style scene from final fantasy 7 featuring tifa and cloud at the bar seventh heaven. It's just three upper portion of the picture that's unfinished. There is a chibi Cthulhu needle minder in the upper right corner. The fabric is a pale yellow.

Got in some #DyingMessage tonight. Alas my murderer wasn't found. Continue to love Oink Games. This is a fun little game where you try and leave a message that lets the other players figure out which suspect killed you. #boardgames

Every so often my son and I will raid the fridge and make a dagwood. The greatest of all sandwiches. This was the last one. It was divine. Highly recommend.

Got in a game of #cascadia Used the D score card. That was tricky. We got a little confused about scoring the hawks. If anyone knows if you can score a pair of hawks with an elk elk salmon bear bear in between as 9 points we would love to know. (That's not pictured this is my tableau) #boardgames
Finished tableau for cascadia. There is a collection of land tiles with various landmass types (river, mountain, plains, forest, marsh) with animal tokens on top (fox, elk, bear, salmon and hawk). A pinecone token is next to them.

Hey @johnlangan.bsky.social it looks like maybe there's some text missing from The Shallows in The Wide Carnivorous Sky. (Pages 187-188). Wasn't sure if you wanted to know.
He snapped the lighter fluid's cap shut and replaced it beside the fence. The crab sidled away along the rows of carrots and potatoes on the other side of the beans and tomatoes. Ransom watched it examine the feathery green tops of the carrots, prod the potato blossoms. It would be another couple of weeks until they were ready to unearth, though after what had happened to the beans, a quick check was in or- 188 THE WIDE, CARNIVOROUS SKY walking up the street the same way his dog had. William Harrow: that was the way he introduced himself. It was a Saturday. I was cooking brunch; Matt was watching TV; Heather was sitting on the front porch, reading. Of course, Bruce was with her. September was a couple of weeks old, but summer was slow in leaving. The sky was clear, the air was warm, and I was thinking that maybe I'd load the four of us into the car and drive up to the Reservoir for an afternoon out."
