I think this about a lot of foods. Humans seem remarkably tenacious about eating stuff that doesn't want to be eaten! Cassava and chillis, for example.

I struggle to narrow down what I'm interested in. Key things include Scottish Suffragettes and the histories of women's activism in Scotland; LGBTQIA+ histories, presents and futures; data science, both uses and misuses; books and reading across most genres, but especially SFF; and, lots more!
