A lot can happen in that time frame…can you imagine coming in three years after a checkup and being riddled with cancer? Thankfully, he said that they can file mine as medically necessary since I have a history of abnormal Pap smears. (Part 4).

He said that since a lot of women aren’t coming to their annual appointments, it was changed to women should come every three years to try and get more to come (insert head scratch here) and that they even want to change it to every five years (his response: “that’s absolutely asinine”!). (Part 3).

I spoke to my doctor and wanted to confirm that I should continue to come annually (even though I’ve had a hysterectomy, I’ve frequently had abnormal Pap smears) and he said 100% yes. He talked about his frustrations with the administrators, not doctors, who are making these changes. (Part 2).
