this is honestly the first explanation I've seen that has made any sense. I certainly don't agree that people who feel aggrieved over obama should rationally feel that way, but at least it provides a basis for understanding where people are at

acknowledging at the outset that this is a failure of the US immigration laws/rules and US trade policy, but at the same time, these companies are basically saying there was no cost effective way to do this work legally so we were forced to break the law/rules. have you seen the FT article on this?

Mandates are pointless if imaginary exemptions are allowed. Removing the mandate will just alleviate administrative burden on schools from having to manage all of this

That's not what it means in this report. The report is referring to people who had legal status under Biden but no longer (or soon will be out of status). Worse, they are counting at the time of entry not at the time status was/will be lost. It's transparently to make things look worse under Biden

there needs to be a big push for constitutional amendments. we need a new mindset that amendments are normal and reasonable corrections not some extraordinary act that only occurs irregularly

requests certainly *shouldn't* need to be made in person, but that does not currently appear to be how it works anymore and people in need of emergency assistance don't have time for the courts to figure it out

its lose-lose. if requests must be made in-person now and if she didn't go, then opponents would just say that she didn't even ask for the federal assistance.
