Just returned from advising Chinese electric regulators and grid operators for the World Bank. China is building lots of renewables and BESS, but they are still working on how to integrate these resources into spot electric markets. It is true that coal is being used as peakers, not gas or BESS.

V2G stands for vehicle to grid. The DRIVE Act uses the term bi-directional electric vehicle systems. These systems have the capability to inject electricity from a vehicle into the electric grid, and not just to premise or building where the EV charger is connected. /1

My grandmother was partially crippled by polio as a child. She went on to be a public health doctor in New Haven, CT. She was so happy when the polio vaccine became widely available. Polio is bad and vaccines are good.
