Pretty telling how this foundational paper is 20 years old and despite advancements in the field, we're nowhere close to solving the problem of "policy resistance".

Fun fact, in Portugal we also had a 30y dictatorship that ended due to the efforts of the Portuguese Communist Party, but while we were preparing for fair elections, the US stationed a navy ship in Lisbon and "donated" $10 million to opposition leaders that would be more favorable to their interests

That almost looks like a commutative diagram so in theory, you just need to axiomatize Marx because Lawvere(mathematician) already defined the Hegelian side, then you can simply join them as if It were an equation 🫡
