Congrats! I’m flirting with 1400 in Spanish… not ready for international negotiations, but starting to really get somewhere! (Although I’m sure our family trip to Spain this winter will show me what is left to learn!?)

I found this promising “Other scientists have also used sand to filter out microplastics, but its removal rate was low compared with biochar.” E.g using filters based on leveraging organic(formerly living) materials was more effective than dead stuff.

Enjoyed the article. I found this quote from Kate Wilson a bit puzzling: “It’s disappointing that it takes the threat of being unseated for our mayor to do the right thing”. Makes sense as something a potential mayoral candidate would say, but last I checked that’s democracy!

The beauty of her response is that she is responding to an argument that only make sense if you don’t believe people lacking proper paperwork are not people/ human.

If the car is in good shape we had the best luck with the local mechanic (old Corolla) or a friend of the family that was into cars (step father’s sports car). Some people love selling used cars. The major services will give you something but it is a hassle for the limited money you will receive.
