America is the richest nation on the planet... they should be able to provide free healthcare at the point of need to every citizen... thus no need for health insurance. UK is able to do it why not US?

I disagree - lots of folks claiming bad tradecraft, but he could well have been just biding his time for the largest media exposure, at the smallest risk to bystanders.
Had to know he was cooked, whatever the outcome. And he chooses to hang onto evidence and chill in a McD in a small PA city.

That would net result in both lower gov expenditures and higher private profits, within some set of values for negative population growth.

That’s so often the case - the batshit (cowshit?) crazy ones statistically aren’t wrong 100% of the time, lending undeserved credibility.
