We’ve got off track and there’s plot holes like “most don’t: laughs in bezos ” but that’s another issue

So back to the initial ?

You don’t think 501 should be able to sell retail items?

For what reason

It doesn’t mean they CANT make profit tho- it means they can’t distribute the profit to people above the salaries.

WHAT WOULD YOU, want to call it?

MOST 501 take
profit - operating expenses (projected or otherwise) and Donate it.

WHAT would you call that?!

But they donate to charity to reduce their tax liability. They don’t donate to charity because they’re good people.

Yeah, but you realize how you’re arguing AGAINST good, realistically every company should be set up somewhat like a 501
So no sole owners can become mega billionaires

You didn’t imply they shouldn’t be paid, but you implied the company shouldn’t make money. That’s how they get paid.

If SAMUEL J MAGFEST was a billionaire dodging taxes we’d be upset. Only one of who keeps profits is the entity

And full time employees SHOULD Be compensated

Traditionally anything that’s bought from a 501 are TAXED and sales taxes is PAID to the Guvmn’t because that’s YOUR money paying them

Their exemption status absolves them on having to pay the tax on items when THE NONPROFIT purchases them to sell to you.
To let them keep their costs low.
