My 2017 joycons don't drift, but my pro controller recently started drifting on both sticks and it's driving me fucking insane.
ive also had TWO powerA controllers start drifting less than a year after purchase. I was gonna say "you get what you pay for" but the DualShock 2 MSRPd for 25 bucks LMFAO

I cant even tell what's actually a glitch or just the shitty always-online netcode in poe anymore. both 1 and 2. like, theyre really fun games, but damn near unplayable if u have spotty internet

Don't bother with non-apple trackpads though. not because theyre bad, but because most trackpads use "mouse emulation mode" on macOS, with no gestures. there are ways around it, if the company writes a driver for it (Logitech does that for the Casa Touchpad), but its not worth the trouble honestly.
