Overwintering this beauty as a five frame single nuc. Replenished the outside frame with a honey frame from last year. It can be done!

Bee notes: January 28th, 40F, windy. Lots of cleansing flights. Still holding steady at 85% survival. This hive wrapped in tar paper for wind block and solar gain with 2inch foam insulation on top. #overwinteringbees❄️🐝
