Here's a full test render with the new mane & tail hair method.

Pretty happy with how it looks overall, though I think the next thing I should try to figure out once and for all is the fur around the hooves/legs. They always end up feeling a bit off and/or out of place. Gotta work that out.

Had the random urge to finally implement the hair experiments I was doing last year into my model for mane & tail.. And I'm SOOO happy with how it's looking now!

And the best part: THE HAIR IS STILL MESHES. No hair particles, no curves. Just layered meshes.
