There two types of dykes: dykes that have every kitchen gadget and dykes that are stocked on frozen pizza.

Proud of my city.
Anti-ICE protesters are blocking both sides of the 101 Freeway near the Alameda Street exit in DTLA. The CHP has since closed that portion of the freeway.

Amazing how few of your friends hit you up when you stop posting to social media. Guess I need to make new friends :/

Last night felt good and strange to be back in a party environment neither as a DJ, crew person, promoter, or booker for the first time in seemingly ages. Having very complex feelings about my place and desire to stay in Seattle.

The small venue situation in Seattle is bleak. Lucky to have the spaces we do but music culture is going to die/become homogenized if something doesn’t happen soon.

Deleted instagram from my phone a week ago and already I feel so much more free. The amount of distraction social media brings on is insane.

Not me dousing myself in oat milk on Christmas. Keep your lid game tight kids.

The reason artists have to leave Seattle to gain any traction elsewhere boils down to the complete lack of support from their communities. Go to your friend’s fucking shows.

Been thinking about how to resist digital enshittification and erasure.

One thing I plan to do in my own capacity is buy physical records and CDs of my favorite artists.

Take and develop more actual photos and keep photo albums.

And yes, write down our stories and family histories.

I’m sorry but your label’s V/A comp should have ten or fewer tracks. Ain’t trying to go through 25 droning sound design flexes just to find the one track that sounds unique. That shit is for the birds.

Owning physical media is smart. All these streaming / subscription services are just rentals, even when you "buy" it.

These platforms won't last forever. You won't always be online. Don't rely on them.
There are currently only 22 films streaming on Netflix made before 1980 and not a single one made before 1960, with the oldest film on the platform currently being PSYCHO. I know I’m a broken record but: buy physical media, support your local library, etc etc

I never thought I’d be celebrating getting a fucking CALL BACK for an interview but here we are. The state of employment in Seattle in 2024.
