Long-time developer and geek (going back to the 1960s) and now off the couch and running!
Newsom has been asked many times if he's planning a 2028 run for President.

I think this was his announcement.

If this were Italy, 1945.... The term "hanging around" would mean something different.

Best Cybertruck I've seen.

When he first flipped I said it was probably due to the "Biden snub" when Biden gave credit to GM's Mary Barra for "leading the way" in automobile electrification. I also said "What's Musk going to do when MAGA turns on him?"

Now we're learning.

Just look at the performance of Linda “A.1.” McMahon or Pete Kegsbreath. (I can’t take credit for making these up)

I swore an Oath to the Constitution. If they demand a loyalty test to Trump, it is morally, ethically, ideologically and PHYSICALLY impossible for me to do both.

....and I know which one I'd choose because I've already made that decision.

He wants the unlined minerals in Greenland that will be more accessible with climate change. Even though he’ll be dead before any bribes can make it to his pocket.

He wants Panama for Canal revenues and access to “Panama Papers” money.

It’s POSSIBLE that he put his money down before then. Remember, the CT was WAY late - but the deposit WAS refundable.

I booked my plane tickets for a day-trip. I really hope there’s a large crowd.

I can't imagine what she's going through with national attention focused on her and a disowning father. As a father of 2 adults, I also can't fathom the thought process that brought Elon to his reprehensible conclusions.

Gabbard is now claiming she DIDN'T KNOW WHAT COUNTRY SHE WAS IN when it happened.

Would be nice if they were there on the Mall next Saturday.

Don’t ask questions when you’re already determined what the answer is. If he asked me, I could politely give him a reason - actually a list of reasons.

You spelled "licker" wrong in the picture on the bottom.

Republicans love the Senate where as little as 18% of the US population can control 51% of the votes.

Funny how they HATE that kind of disproportionate representation math in the UN where Belize gets the same voting power as the US.

I would submit that it can be more important to keep your Tesla stock. If a vote ever comes up to remove Musk from the company (like PayPal did), I will be voting with ALL my shares to kick him out. And that is worth a LOT more than me not buying one car.

Same. I’ve lost 6 figures after briefly hitting one of my retirement goals. Now they’re attacking another leg of my retirement (SS) and it’s just a matter of time before they cut the final leg (Federal Employee Retirement System - much less generous than the old CSRS that existed until around 1985)

Yup. No letterhead. No name/contact information. No rank/grade. No title. No nothing. If I sent out an official communication like that to the outside world demanding actions being taken by people outside of my chain in command, at the very least I'd getting a letter of reprimand in my folder.

As I recall, sometime back in the 70s, there was a study done about Israeli kibbutzes (sp?). It seemed the direct democracy/socialistist model that was used worked for groups up to about 150 individuals before it started to fracture apart.

Well, let's face it. According to himself and his biographer, Elon was raised in a VERY abusive household a the foot of a reprehensible man (his father, Errol Musk). Doesn't excuse his behavior, but might explain some.
