People’s History of The United States by Howard Zinn completely changed my view on the power structure of the US. It’s always been the owning class in charge. This admin just says it out loud. George Washington was the wealthiest person in the US prior to the revolution.

Lately I find myself interested in who gets to write history in the Modern Information Age. Previously it’s always been written by the hagemon which controls the narrative. Threats like AI, US Facism, and social media algorithms favoring outrage over truth make this fact especially concerning.
