I think we’re hitting the long run

I think the additional nuance is that these two sets of statements could also be true:

1. LLMs have real-world use cases that provide business value

2. Making a foundational model is not a good business

Shows whether someone can tell the difference between substance and superficiality, which is telling

I think it’s important to note that some proposals to replace humans with LLMs is just degrading service

See government workers being cut and replaced with chatbots

The qualitative difference with other automation technology is that the end user might prefer it

But this may have been the only way to fulfill the TSLAQ prophecy

It’s amazing how far presidential norms got us because it seems that’s what kept things from falling apart

Agreed that campaign finance reform won’t be easy. I think the issue with simply making it more expensive is that it can still be lucrative

For example, increase in Tesla stock price and future SpaceX contracts outweighs ~$300M in political contributions

In a world with this much wealth inequality, doesn’t this just increase the cost of playing the game?

Seems like the rules need to be amended altogether

Clearly nowhere to go but up

The silver lining of the egregious mingling of wealth and politics may be enough public outrage for actual campaign finance reform

Thing is you get people arguing that Twitter is better now, so seems like more than one

It’s wild that people saw his Twitter (mis)management and thought it should be applied elsewhere

If you say this enough times, both sides understand what’s being said without conflict (polite unsubscribe)

I think stock price will collapse as demand collapses. It’s hard to do a Nazi salute and still sell cars to the people who want to buy EVs

Cutting incentives with new administration doesn’t help either

The value prop of Threads was pre-Musk Twitter. Now with Zuck bending the knee, there’s an exodus of the early adopters
