Working on a new film. This is the Crestone, Ziggurat in Colorado created by Najeeb Halaby; but is it a ziggurat? Reminds me of the Samarra minaret. It connects us to heaven and earth.

It’s always surreal when you watch an old show from your childhood, the artifice is so clear when you’re older and unfortunately the magical illusion is lifted. I had a similar reaction with The Wizard of Oz as an adult. Maybe we should leave some of our memories intact without an update.
