Pt3 of my journey through Tori Amos is Scarlet's Walk. Despite the minimalist packaging (no lyrics, nothing), I think it's my favourite. Amber Waves, A Sorta Fairytale, Taxi Ride & the title track stand out, for me anyway, but it works from the opening of Amber... to the closing notes of Gold Dust.

Album 2 of my @toriamos.bsky.social faves. Back to where it all began and, having said how I hate multipart posts, this might have to be. I was in my final year at Uni when this came out, and I loved it. Instantly. I loved the vocals, I loved the quirkiness, I loved the anger.

So, as promised, I've picked my favourite @toriamos.bsky.social albums to share with you. Recorded in Cornwall during lockdown, this instantly sounds familiar and includes the usual mix of quirky and thoughtful. "Spies" is a highlight for me, but it's a great album all through.

So, as promised, I've picked my favourite @toriamos.bsky.social albums to share with you. Recorded in Cornwall during lockdown, this instantly sounds familiar and includes the usual mix of quirky and thoughtful. "Spies" is a highlight for me, but it's a great album all through.

Apologies, I've been a wee bit remiss with my Album Of The Week posts recently. Thinking about it, I realised that, over the Xmas break, I'd listened to a lot of @toriamos.bsky.social so I thought I'd pick my favourite 3 albums. Multipart posts drive me mad, so each will get it's own.

Apologies, I've been a wee bit remiss with my Album Of The Week posts recently. Thinking about it, I realised that, over the Xmas break, I'd listened to a lot of @toriamos.bsky.social so I thought I'd pick my favourite 3 albums. Multipart posts drive me mad, so each will get it's own.
It's Album Of The Week time again. From the first base notes of the opening, title, track it was obviously a change of style for the band. It's a much more mature sound but then, you can stay angry, but you can't stay young forever.

Time for a quick supplemental Album Of The Week. Talk Of This Town was the debut for Catherine McGrath. Coldplay might get a name check on Wild, but it's actually Fearless era Taylor Swift that is the clearest influence - Our Song ripples through the title track. Still great though. #music

Just SO many cats on my feed. Here's a dog instead
'Evening all. Not sure what this account is going to look like yet. Currently have 1 Insta a/c for pics of the dog & family, 1 for my hobbies (sim racing etc) and a Threads a/c for jokes and politics (replacing my Twitter a/c). So, should I go with one main theme, or a combination?
