Some of the wood frog tadpoles from the big pond have graduated to tiny little froglets and are enjoying my garden! Thanks for being there little buddies!!

I got some spiders to show you, okay? Here we’ve got the male and the female of the dark fishing spider and the gentleman is trying to win the lady’s favor from a safe distance.
It’s the front of the garden bed and there are two spiders circled in yellow because they’re hard to spot Here’s the fella! He’s small with a small body and he’s got dark and light banded legs Here the big lady! She also has banded legs, kind of grey and beige. She’s got beautiful patterning and is an impressive sized spider!

I was out checking on the wood frog tadpoles at the big pond and look who made himself known with a song! A green frog!!
Looking down on this green frog from above. He’s small in the picture and mostly in shadow but his head is out in the sun. Sittin in the slime and the grasses 💚

Blinky used to be on a schedule where she would shed once a week after I fed her and put her in her water bowl, but now she’s shedding in the middle of the night and it’s a big surprise in the morning to see her all cleaned off!
Blinky the yellow pacman frog is half buried in her substrate but on her top half all her gorgeous warm colors and patterns are showing. She is in a half clay pot hide with some vibrant green fake plants draped over the top.

A pretty garter snake from this morning
A yellow and brown snake with a checkerboard pattern is curled up in a loose circle on some beach rocks placed next to the front garden. This is a closer up picture. The snake either has one blind eye or the eye cap stuck on that side after their last shed. From how vivid the snake’s colors are, I would say that that shed happened somewhat recently!

I got all this weeded today and the darker part in the foreground planted. The sticks along the back are for peas and nasturtiums to climb up to the fence! Planted them 2 weeks ago along with sunflowers.
It’s a garden and in the very close foreground there’s a bunch of self seeded chamomile mixed in with weeds and then there’s a freshly weeded and planted section further back that’s a nice rich brown.

It just looks like a bunch of yellow ochre dots on the bottom of a black metal fence post but they’re each a little baby spider!!

I accidentally dug up a June bug (or May beetle as some call them) in my garden! Guy’s like “Hey I was barely done being a grub yet!!” 😆
A dark shiny scarab beetle with reddish legs is perched on the end of my gardening glove clad finger. The beetle has one leg lifted like a dog taking a leak.

A furby that I made, of the type that I call Lil Wizzies, is leaned over and staring intently at a bubble rising in a green lava lamp. His name is Wizauld and he’s a black light wizard of the Seventh Order but I don’t know if he’s ever seen a lava lamp before

My poor peach tree has the leaf curl and it’s eeking me out. I’ve read people saying to cut off the infected parts, but I don’t know that seems a bit severe??

This turtle was right on the edge of a fairly busy dirt road so I guided them further off the road to a safer spot

I got to see and interact with my favorite type of local reptile today!!! The common snapping turtle!!!!!

Baby spiders that just hatched!! 🥹
There are all these little spots on a web against the white of the side of a house and each one is an individual being who has just been born into this world This is a zoomed in shot that shows a multitude of baby spiders. They are yellow ochre in color and they are just figuring out the world for the first time.

Miss Blinky is all tucked in and comfy, watching me eat breakfast. She winked when I was talking to her!
Blinky the yellow pacman frog is mostly covered with substrate but her head is poking out. She’s got green plastic plants behind her and in the foreground is a cute cartoon sticker of a frog like her. Closer up picture. I think Blinky has really sweet sensitive eyes.

Freshly metamorphosed dragonflies crawling out of the pond water onto the grass to let their new wings dry
There’s green grass growing up from another layer of plants floating in the water of the pond and that’s where the dragonflies are! There are about six of them and their wings look all new and folded funny

My monstera adansonii plants. The parent plant is on the left and just got transplanted yesterday because it had been in Reptisoil from Blinky’s old enclosure and wasn’t doing as well as the cutting (on the right) which was in rich Happy Frog potting soil.
A stringy monstera plant in a cool beaded hanger on an eclectically comfortable room. Transplanted into a kind of tall black pot. A compact monstera with pretty big leaves! This is the healthiest iteration of this plant that I’ve grown so far!
