Beyond excited and grateful to be joining UChicago Chemistry ( @uchichemistry.bsky.social ) this summer!
We are thrilled to announce Dr. Dipti Jasrasaria, our new Assistant Professor in theoretical chemistry and materials science! She is a highly accomplished theoretical and computational chemist whose work will build on the department's long tradition of pioneering materials science. Welcome Dipti!
The Jasrasaria Group @uchichemistry.bsky.social is recruiting postdocs! We will use theory and simulation to understand how microscopic interactions between atoms and electrons in materials dictate their macroscopic behaviors. Visit diptijasrasaria.com/contact to learn more. Reposts appreciated!

Now in JCP, we develop a framework to describe phonon polaritons beyond the long wavelength limit. We then use VDMFT to calculate momentum-dependent polariton spectra and explore the effects of anharmonicity. So fun to work with Arkajit on this!

Simulating anharmonic vibrational polaritons beyond the long wavelength approximation
In this work, we investigate anharmonic vibrational polaritons formed due to strong light–matter interactions in an optical cavity between radiation modes and a
