It’s not about confirming anything, the danger lingers until it becomes real and I am happy to have a great police force at work there. Whatever it was that happened, going public about it while these masses are out there is not good, so I think they did well. The announcement repeated constantly:

There were constant announcements at one point urging people to leave towards one direction, without panicking. Being a real Münchner, I can tell you this is not normal and has nothing to do with being overcrowded - it wasn’t btw.
