That's one of the reasons it's such a bad quality rip. It was an SLP recording of, either that tape from Austin or from a copy of that tape, copied again to send to me. Ah the era when media preservation was all about mailing increasingly blurry vhs tapes to each other.

I had actually given up but a few months later a guy saw my post about it on a really obscure forum about movies. Someone had tacked that sucker to the end of a bootleg of Shaolin Soccer and sent it across the country to a friend because he thought it was the funniest damn thing he'd ever seen.

It's still my most impressive lost media find in my life and even I don't know where the leak was from. It probably was the heavyset reviewer originally, but it isn't directly from the guy who found the tape, since he was one of the first people I asked about it. He told me you said not to share it.

Of course this amounts to "Reasons #1 to #999" as to why to NEVER rely on encryption - no matter how strong its purported configuration - that's managed by someone (e.g. Apple, Google etc.) outside of your direct control.
