In a starfish dance macabre, painting craft by Jazz Szu-Ying Chen captures the inner spirit of @dj-surgeon.bandcamp.com - and please, please, collaborate, paint, find human ways of realizing music visually. A rant and a 2025 favorite with a discussion with Jazz + Tony:

Surgeon's Shell~Wave easily tops my favorite techno records from 2025, a nice return to form for Tresor Records. But as we're awash in generated artwork, let's devote our own brain cycles instead to l...

Vertical @bleep43 do 28th Feb to celebrate Corsica Studios - proud we’ve been invited to curate an event in this series

How do you even put into words what Corsica means to all of us dancers, performers, and promoters who’ve met under its arches? What we do know is that it’s always, obviously, been about art for art’s sake.

This is utterly sublime, the bass in the first song is the sort of all-enveloping thing you never get outside of a live soundsystem normally. Huge and unavoidable and inevitable.
