A biblical foundation? The USA is 249 years old, the Bible is considerably older, I cannot see how the dialogue spouted here can compare.

Freezing the tax threshold is probably the wrong thing to do. Why would a middle income earner aspire to better themselves to go over the £50k limit. There is no incentive, a 1p increase in PAYE might have been better.

One thing for sure is she won’t need a Halloween costume. As an outsider, it’s scary to see what is happening in the US. More frightening is that right-wing parties in the UK seem to idolise and want to follow the Trump/Miller playbook.

Mostly, Indian cuisine served in this country was created for the British palate, thus the ‘well-adjusted’ people are also ‘culinary inept’.

ID cards as a concept would be far more regulated and I don’t mind having one. Having a decentralised ID card is better than the myriad different digital ways we use government services. The way society spreads its digital footprint via social media, was is the issue with an ID card.

We already have a digital ID to access Government services such as Tax, NHS, land registry, passports and driving licences. Loyalty card usage data is harvested and generally not for the benefit of the consumer. There must be clear regulations & boundaries set on the use of a digital IDs

I have stayed here in one of our Landmark Trust holidays. It is a rather special place. Although it is odd feeling when you’re inside and people are walking around outside and peeking in.

He’s not very sharp on his history is he. The Germans & Japanese surrendered unconditionally. The Vietnam war end when N Vietnam captured Saigon. The N & S Koreans never signed a peace treaty, so I guess they are still at war. Perhaps President Cheetos can sort that one out.

Why? but I guess everyone should pay more tax as it’s a societal problem, taxing the wealthy is a drop in the ocean and wouldn’t even touch what is needed.

It’s also very telling the Russian president elects to speak to the press conference in his native language instead of the language of his hosts. He clearly can when you you see him converse with the current US president and previous talks with world leaders; another power play.
