Yeah, the red gives it that feel. I didn’t intend to have any color in it. But when I put the Gekido logo on her shirt, it looked so good that I didn’t want to change it. And I could use the red to make it more obvious that she’s holding a light gun.

It’s artist Hiraku Kaneko. He’s been in the anime business for awhile. Probably best known directing very breast-heavy anime like Qwaser of Stigmata, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid, and Manyū Hiken-chō. And he designed a pretty popular Queen’s Blade character, Cattleya.
