I am reminded of Earthbound's "this game stinks" advertising campaign and Daikatana's "John Romero will make you his bitch" and the NGage ads calling people stupid wondering why companies thought being negative about the product or aggressive towards the customer would be successful marketing

man i'm just reminded of playing the original PC Sonic 3 & Knuckles in 86Box recently on like, emulated recommended specs for the game and the amount of glitching and slowdowns (not an 86Box problem, matches my experience from back in the day) made me absolutely shit at that minigame

but like, the mirror shield light redirection stuff is *very finnicky*, like I wish when you picked a target to redirect light to it would lock on and not leave me waving my light beam at it as my joystick goes off target.)

(Fwiw if anyone's curious I just beat the Earth Temple so I'm pretty close to the Triforce Hunting Endgame.
I hope there's not much more mirror shield shit in the rest of the game though tbh because like, in general Zelda is "if you know how to solve this puzzle you'll breeze through it" (contd)

And this will probably morph after I do finish it into "I should try the Switch version of Skyward Sword since it should be less punishing on me being a leftie than the Wii one was and therefore maybe I'll actually vaguely enjoy it this time"

..Fisher Price cars, fell off a bunk bed onto a child size desk chair, walked my dumb ass between two people playing horseshoes and got hit in the head, and crawled across the motherboard of a radio I'd been taken apart and opened two huge gashes in my knee on some solder points, all as a kid.

..Fisher Price cars, fell off a bunk bed onto a child size desk chair, walked my dumb ass between two people playing horseshoes and got hit in the head, and crawled across the motherboard of a radio I'd been taken apart and opened two huge gashes in my knee on some solder points, all as a kid.
I think the worst one I ever did was sit on the side of a hotel tub in just the wrong way that it kind of felt like the tub was trying to penetrate me. Not pleasant.
I also knocked out some of my (thankfully baby) teeth as a child by having my brother push me way too fast in one of those..(cont'd)

(I in particular have a habit of buying at least like $40 worth of games for her and Alyssa during the Steam winter sales partly for sabotage reasons and partly as a way to say how much their friendship means to me :P
