Making my sister a bodice for renfaire, so did I test run on one for myself first with scrap fabric I had lying around as a reminder of how to do the pattern. I got a cute new Renfaire costume out of it! Still need to add the grommets and bias tape to one armhole.

The tide is currently in, the warm seawater lapping calmly at Shen Yuan’s toes. Deeper in the water, Liu Qingge cuts swiftly through the water, sunlight sparkling off of the exposed skin of his arms—-the only exposed skin on his body, as he opted to pack a wholeass wet suit, despite the warmth of the water. It can’t be comfortable, Shen Yuan laments. Poor Liu-di must be hot. But a brief look at his chat earlier was enough to make him grateful that Liu Qingge had opted out of anything more revealing. Even just his arms had Shen Yuan’s chat slathering like a pack of rabid rodents. At least this way Shen Yuan doesn’t have to spend his time protecting Liu-di’s modesty! He’s supposed to be recovering! Shang Qinghua flops down on the sand next to Shen Yuan’s chair with a groan. “So what’s with the sudden trip?” he asks, leaning back on his elbows to watch the water. “Just a sudden desire to take in ‘the sights’?” There’s a strange emphasis on the last two words and, sure enough, when Shen Yuan shoots a glance his way, Shang Qinghua is all but waggling his eyebrows at him. Ugh. Lech. “It’s a private beach,” he retorts dismissively. “It’s just me, you, and Liu-di. There’s no women to leer at.” Shen Yuan turns his attention back towards the water, where Liu Qingge is still swimming laps, the effort of his muscles visible even through the blue fabric of his wetsuit as his arms pull his body forward in long, powerful strokes. “…bro.”
