I put together a great gravel road route yesterday with amazing flow from Cannon Falls, MN to Minneola, which apparently doesn't exist anymore. More than 80% gravel, mostly smooth.

All-day, 95-mile gravel/pavement ride west of Minneapolis, including roads I've never ridden, on an unseasonably warm day. Time was an illusion.

Twitchy, nimble MTBs are my jam. The handling of my 2001 RacerX was unbelievable. I replaced it with a 2017 Open One+, which feels eerily similar.

Had a fun time turning an old dresser into a bathroom vanity and installing a new sink and faucet in the house my daughter bought this fall. I knew it would be a PITA, but it saved the money a new vanity would cost and it looks pretty good.

My main bike is a 2023 Cervelo R5-CX cyclocross racing bicycle. I use it for everything: mildly technical single track and gravel with a half-frame bag and top tube bag, CX racing without bags, and bikepacking with handlebar bag, seat bag, tent and frame bag.

Rode the CX bike yesterday along the Minnesota River on frozen dirt single track, which was quite fast and grippy. A nice 50-mile loop including paved roads/trails to and from single track.
