I can't stand the 2025 Tripod design. The more you try to ground the Tripod in reality by falling back on this overused modern sci-fi mech look, the less imposing and otherworldly they feel. Abstract, surreal designs work best, which is why the 50s movie works even if it discards the legs entirely.

So I hear the world's pretty fucked up right now. I've been hold up in my house, sweating and re-learning Blender by modeling the robot that Baxter Stockman put his brain into and Donatello kept alive and hidden away for several years between Volumes 2 and 4 of the Mirage continuity of TMNT.

My dream adaptation, they fly James Baxter out to Japan for a few years to make sure the horse animation is on point. But in my heart I know those horses are gonna be CG as hell.
