Glad I noticed the typo before I posted this! (Can’t wait for the typo I didn’t notice)
The spires looked to be steel, but I wouldn’t have known of any nuances. They weaved like vines incapable of taking gradual turns, the arms of a twisted corpse of a robot doing their best to not snap under the stress of their poor planning. Scar-like indentations checkered the surfaces of the steel vines with frayed interiors, threads of metal fluttering in a breeze that didn’t exist. An oily substance looked to seep down their surfaces, but it didn’t seem to pool at the bottom of where they’d emerged from. And like all other dimensional intrusions, police tape had been set to quarantine all from entering the building until the ‘specialists’ could deal with it. Not that I wanted to. The strange architecture, no matter what form it took, tended to make me feel queasy.
