Word rotator in Kafkatown
Same...

My country has a whole ecosystem of jokes around the word "temporary", from the times of "temporary residence of Soviet armed forces in the area".

Confirmed...?

I fear the closest problem will be omnipresent AI spam... We will sooner be drowning in endless streams of tailored offers and scams before the actual productive pipelines get much affected.

The uselessness of Google search in face of ads and weaponized SEO might be the first harbinger.

What do we do about it then? Deploy different AI to fight it? (maybe the only option...) We could end up spending a considerable fraction of our energy expenditure just to keep the ever-evolving super-spam at bay. It could kill the internet in its current form.

My biggest worry is that this is the initial stage of BotNet: AI malware fighting for hits, bandwidth and compute. We could be spending a solid fraction of all our energy just to keep all the detritus at bay.

Does anyone know if bluechecks have been affected as well? I've seen speculation that it's effectively a subscriber drive.

It's nice to have a fallback, though B)

👋

Just came here for similar reasons. I wonder - did it affect anyone who is bluechecked? I've seen speculation that it's effectively a subscriber drive.

(The wild card turns out to be that you are addicted to it and spend half the mission huffing.)

Get in contact with some local (mutual, friend-of-a-friend...) who will show you the basics and tell you the critical things to know.

What a blessing :-)

The inefficiency is, in part at least, the cost of safety in legacy infrastructure. The extra steps were generally put there to complicate fraud and misuse.

Of course, tech keeps progressing and much of it is now just old baggage, if not outright counterproductive for practical security.

Italy isn't too bad, all in all. Very good on the climate (and food), acceptably flawed as a democracy. The earning potential isn't exactly stellar, but a tech or fashion gig in Milan sounds like a fate I could endure.

In my part of the world - absolutely. You should be a regular *somewhere.*

I've definitely had it from someone prior.

In terms of the number of people that it got killed? Das Kapital, clearly.

You are welcome. Please do not think of it as "teaching" - merely relaying inside details and tidbits that I find interesting ;)

As a curiosity, the camel on the coat of arms of Pilsen got there during the Hussite wars, when the (staunchly Catholic) burghers of Pilsen stole it from the besieging Hussites.

1. Sell some art
2. Make some art
3. Make sure a complicated move-out doesn't turn into a full-blown eviction (3rd party in that, fortunately)
4. Take a girl out on a fantastic date
5. Have a critical meeting on the future of a consulting project
