No sexual attraction but you want to be with someone of the opposite gender.

nice.

The only example I can think of where you play as "a Watson" is the Ace Attorney game set in London, where you're kind of side kicking to Sherlock- but being it's a courtroom game, and Sherlock isn't a lawyer, you're clearly the protagonist there.

Also: I’ve gotten almost 1,000 responses in 24 hours- thank you all so much! More responses is still really useful though, the larger the sample size the less individual outliers can mess with the results. That being said, I’d love some more NON gamers to take this survey.
November 17, 2025 at 2:03 PM
And that’s why I have write ins. >_<
November 17, 2025 at 1:48 AM
Because its come up a lot: if you answer "no" for the start of the board game/video game, or con questions, the rest of your answers for that section will be nullified! It will NOT skew data, I will only be looking at people with the relevant subset.
November 17, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Oh for "regularly play" in the game/board section! Do you play them often enough to consider yourself part of that community.
November 17, 2025 at 1:07 AM
also there are no stupid questions. Regular in this case is "in a typical year"
November 17, 2025 at 12:56 AM
You can add it! There is a question where you can fill in additional conventions.

I didn't want to make the list a million miles long and most of the people I personally interact with are US based so I tried to focus on things I was more familiar with.

(hides my minis)

w-why would I know anything about this hobby?
November 16, 2025 at 11:07 PM
also as someone who is nonbinary, it is probably the absolute silliest thing of me to FORGET NONBINARY in the gender question.

consolidating the kajillion different nonbinary write in answers is my just punishment.

Grievances. Thanks text to speech.
November 16, 2025 at 8:50 PM
that's perfectly fine! those specific questions are more a chance for people to express specific positive/negative experiences with staff, policies, and the like. I do NOT work for a specific convention myself, but I've heard both praise + gradiences about cons and wanted to be able to compile
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
No is fine, then. I'm more looking for concrete answers in the follow up questions associated with these radials (I wish I could do more specific fill ins with Google Sheets, but alas)
November 16, 2025 at 8:46 PM
Or if you don't know. I'm really looking for people to tell me concrete times when issues have occurred.
November 16, 2025 at 8:45 PM
So if you dont attend cons, I'll be ignoring the follow up questions of the section- answer No here.
November 16, 2025 at 8:44 PM
NA conventions are definitely the ones I've worked at and as such have the most experience with, but all answers are helpful! I have almost 450 respondents already, so any one-off extreme outliers won't affect data collection (but are really interesting to look at)
November 16, 2025 at 8:37 PM
No is fine, when I do my analysis, people who answered No in the prior question will be dropped.

To be clear: you being staff will not skew this data. Attending in any capacity counts as attending for the purposes of what I’m researching.
November 16, 2025 at 5:03 PM
No that’s completely fair and ok! You’ll note that I also want people who don’t attend cons at all. I usually attend as staff myself or as a speaker, which is why I wrote this survey to begin with.
November 16, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Also I’ll happily release the anonymized data once I have a sufficiently large enough sample size that I can be assured that just releasing averages won’t affect PII (200+ entries, hopefully many more).
