There's a racket club near our house that holds monthly free open days with a local adaptive sports organization. I went last month and there were several people so we had to rotate out for drills and games. Today there were only two of us so we go the who 2.5 hours as basically a private lesson!

My #ShowMeYourKnits #WIP week contribution is not on my needles or hooks, as is the case here. Tiny crochet sushi 🍣 that are destined to become earrings. Freehand no pattern. They’ve been in my WIP pile since summer and just need to attach the hardware.

This week’s #ShowMeYourKnits theme is love 💕 hearts. While all of my knits are made with love, hearts as a motif is decidedly not my jam. I had to dig deep to find a knit heart but found one on a tiny sweater ornament. I’m also including a crochet hearts project that I made for my grand daughter.

Stripes this week for #ShowMeYourKnits and another throwback from me. Knee high socks made circa 2010 with self striping yarn. It’s a cotton blend so they’re great spring/ early summer socks. I’m modeling them here with sandals as part of the systematic torture of my then teenager. 🤭

My crochet contribution to #ShowMeYourKnit sweater week. Granny squares made over the course of 2 years as between project time fillers. Finished spring of 2024. No pattern, just pieced it together together and added cuffs, collar and crochet buttons.

It’s #ShowMeYourKnits sweater week and while it’s been 16 years since I knit a sweater (one of which I still wear regularly!) I crocheted one last year.

Braved the cold to work off some nervous energy today. Did a 4.14 mile loop mile loop between the Steele Bridge and the Tillicum Crossing. I’ll definitely sleep better tonight. I’m not taking any good sleep for granted in the foreseeable future.

Happy to be near the Oregon coast again. Being landlocked in Atlanta was hard on my soul. We took a drive to Ecola State Park and Seaside this past weekend. This was my first time taking my GRIT Freedom Chair to the beach and it was a glorious. Can’t wait to do it again!
