PRI, so things like suppine 90 90 breathing to try to retrain the movement, I know it works on me temporarily but the next phase is trying to make it stick! Thanks again, I knew it would be on painscience somewhere!

Fantastic thanks! This phenomena has definitely happened to me, but I’m an N of 1 here. Although the solution I think, rather than going into water which may not always be available, is

adopted a bad alignment. For instance I could feel my ribs flared and changing this has helped somehow. Anyway maybe someday we’ll get more proof! Or it’s just me lol thanks!

Thanks I will take a look. I’m a very skeptical person, hence why I love all your work! And it’s helped me to see through many health professionals and physios. Although this PRI has posture in the name, it’s more about breathing really, and re-educating the rib cage and diaphragm that may have

for others; the mechanism apparently elevated flared rib cage pulling on muscles going to the neck. I don’t know if that’s right but it did work. So maybe I won’t give up on the gluteal tendinopathy for a few more years😂

Ha yes, I think it stands for postural restoration institute. They are like breathing exercises for alignment. It’s something I’ve scoffed at before until I tried one repeatedly and it took away neck pain of 3 years… so worthy of an inclusion in your excellent neck pain book perhaps as it could work

Me too, I follow you here as well ❤️👍 great content and plenty of motivation thanks, particularly the recent creeping to distance running one you did.

Where it’s more like a permanent condition one has to manage through the rest of your life rather than some physio thing that gets bosses with exercises in 3 months…

Love the logo. Random question, I tried the search function on painscience but have you ever written/explored the topic of PRI moves and impact on pain? It’s perhaps an interesting topic. Another more niche one would be around false expectations of recovery with things like Gluteal Tendinopathy,

And the last weekly reporter has finally fallen on his sword, shame I liked the consistency. Must mean the start of a bull market

If you’re in small cap growth, then they only one good run every 5-6 years so the rest of the time you need another strategy

Do you know any resources for gluteal tendinopathy? Or anyone who has actually recovered from it? Finding it hard to get back to sports without flaring it. Thanks

I bought this and I can say it’s absolutely fantastic for those who are unsure. Paul’s work is first class and so helpful when you are muddling through pain issues.

Thanks Paul, I knew you would have written about it 👍

Have you ever heard of something called Bowen therapy? Should I add that to my list of quackery as well?

it’s helping but no idea why lol

No just in the aqua piece you said you do yoga in the water ;) yoga is such a strange one, there are hundreds of comments on YouTube videos of people saying it’s helping their LB pain and yet the evidence and your guide clearly shows how it hasn’t been effective. I’m dabbling in it as I feel like

I think being in water, aqua jogging or swimming is something I will try for my chronic low back pain. Currently reading your guide on it, I’m amazed you are doing yoga and stretching after what I read in that, but I guess there are other benefits as you say, despite the lack of proven pain relief.

Not related but I’m struggling with lateral hip pain at the moment, maybe bursitis I’m not sure. Do yo have any more articles on this topic? I note some advice re massage hot spots that can help but any details on exercises or other advices? I’ve had it for months now and can’t seem to shift it!
