UK man in hat, 40 something. Humanities degrees. Nerd. Likes equality, justice, motor sport, mecha, Transformers, RC Cars, video games, anime. Lived with M.E/CFS from 17 till 30ish, recovering from it since then. ADHD from 0. Also chronic migraines.
First Bus, what a bloody farce. Late as ever and on a holiday commuter run they provide a service with ONE space for a wheelchair or buggy. Just seen a family having to wait for the next bus in hope that there's space for one of their children in a wheelchair. Bloody disgusting provision!!! 🤬

It's been a little while since I did a UK train journey of any length... Holy shit balls the overselling of tickets on this journey is insane! I had an advanced ticket and had to ask a very nice older lady for my seat. She was lovely about it despite my objections that she should keep it,

Of all the Dire Wolf coverage this is the one that made me chuckle the most. Good work @theguardian.com www.theguardian.com/science/2025...
The de-extinction of the dire wolf – is Jurassic Park really happening?
These wolves were extinct for 10,000 years. Now, the DNA of their ancestors has brought them back to life. Should we be thrilled or terrified that these carnivores are back in action?

Well I was going to write to my MP about the benefits chainsaw, but since he's just been arrested recently and suspended, that's not going to do much... #benefits

As much fun as watching the markets freefall is, truth be told real warning signs won't show unless it drops to 2020 levels and then 2009. Given the speed of decline it wouldn't be surprising if it hit that point. #tariffs

Also how long before California ups and declares itself independent?

America! Good news! Because your cable companies didn't invest in internet so good, you can still get out there and rip up the ye oldie copper cables and trade them to get eggs! The more you know.

So the real question is, after the markets going into free fall and not stopping, is this #trumps #liztruss moment? And can Vance outperform a cabbage?

So you know how when Bluesky really took off and everyone left on X was screaming why won't people interact with them any more? Yeah, that's the US now. Bye guys, bye! #tarrifs

This just in #warhammer to become even more impossibly expensive in the US!
“It appears tomorrow there'll be no country in the world exempt from the initial announcements”

Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told #BBCBreakfast he expects the UK to face new tariffs on goods exported to the United States

Labour are reclassifying disability/illness to manufacture fraud within the benefits system. Real fraud is almost non existent 👇 They are doing this to garner support for their insupportable policies. It's beyond dangerous & increases stigma & discrimination.

I am vexed. The whole cuts to the UK benefits system (Personal Indipednce Payment) has made me incredibly angry and I don't have much place else to vent it but here. The Work Capacity Assessment (which is used by Universal Credit and Employment Support Allowance) has been broken for a long time.

I may be the only one but honestly the #warhammer40k previews seem damp to me. The Space Wolves aren't a patch on the old ones, with little visual distinction between the various companies. The Chaos stuff seems a very oh yes those release...
March 27, 2025 at 1:17 PM
What in the actual fuck!? How is this politically or morally defensible?! Even more so for a #Labour government.
Jeez. The Government’s own impact assessment on welfare cuts finds they would drive 250,000 more people, including 50,000 children, into poverty

Does anyone remember that time #PresidentBiden posted state secrets on a non-sanctioned platform? For that matter does any one remember him using emojis? I ask because I don't even remember the name of his Defense Secretary and that's a good thing.

As #RachelReeves goes forth to proclaim her fiscal vision I'm reminded of one simple truth, a strong society is one that is strong together and doesn't abandon anyone. We either move forward as one or we don't move forward at all. It would be nice if #Labour would remember that.

@katmabu.bsky.social best of luck with your campaign, I hope it's sucsesful, but even if not, it sounds like the work you'll do for your community will be a real positive. I was (very) skeptical when I heard a TikTok star was running for Congress but you're the exact opposite of what I expected. 👍

I'm not exactly sure which Whitehall Department or UK Labour minister needs to read this so the Government get the point about disabilities and welfare, but hope to hell they do. theconversation.com/cuts-and-cap...
Cuts and caps to benefits have always harmed people, not helped them into work
Many of the measures already implemented to reduce government spending have actually pushed people further away from the labour market.
