Didn’t we all? Somewhere I have a photo of my almost 42 year old son sitting on ours for his first haircut.

Wow. I can understand why. I’ve dyed my own yarn and fabric. It’s labor intensive.

He said he was tired of the pressure. He wanted to enjoy the game again. He did scout for a couple of minor league teams as well as working as a coach for development camps including at St. Mary’s in Halifax and the USA development team in Ann Arbor. But he’s not playing anymore (he’s 41).

My oldest son was a very good hockey player. Not NHL good but versatile. There wasn’t a position he couldn’t, and didn’t. He was supposed to play on the club team (WMU-last year’s NCAA champions) but separated his shoulder in practice. Once he healed he decided on the beer league instead.

A friend rescued 4 baby raccoons after the mother was killed. I took one. They do NOT make good pets. I ended up giving him to a friend’s boyfriend, who happened to be a ranger at a forest preserve in Oak Brook IL where the raccoon was an education animal as he couldn’t be released.

Irony: for years my stepsister tried to get me to get implants. She paid for her twin daughters to get them at 18. I’ve now had a left mastectomy. Opted to not have reconstructive surgery. Now I’m waiting for chemo to be over so I can get the right breast removed.

Have you ever heard them sing? It’s amazing. And no, I was not stoned. Ok, the first time I’d had a couple of beers. After that, yeah, I might have been a little stoned. It was still (and always is) way cool.

Hakeem needs to get educated on the difference between socialism and democratic socialism. Or you do.

Sadly there are people who fell for it. And I always cheer for the Lions unless they are playing the Bears. And I’ll cheer for anyone playing the Packers.
