One of the coolest musical performances I’ve ever experienced. If you get the chance to see live taiko, I highly recommend it!

Happy National Hiking Day! I didn’t hit the trail today, but I realized I never posted about my first ever solo hike up a mountain earlier this year. I went up Cobble Hill myself one cloudy day in late June. It was fabulous! Hiking is hard but healing work.

I took a much-needed walk in the woods today with my family. Just a short jaunt in a winter wonderland at the @wildcenter in Tupper Lake, NY. Perfection! ❄️#adirondacks

Been too long since I’ve played! Today, we went to a local gaming shop and bought a new book. Excited to begin a new adventure with some friends, my husband, and my kiddo who has been showing a keen interest for sometime. #dungeonsanddragons

I’m still clinging to my spooky season. Rotting pumpkins reminding us of our mortality. Spooky stories of visiting spirits. The Yule Cat’s expectations. Mari Lwyd‘s procession. Krampus coming… #Pagan

Freezing rain and icy outside. It’s a great night for hard cider and homemade pizza.

Money and time are tight, so I'm super relieved my daughter found a dress from my closet she'd like to wear to her dance on Friday! WIN!

Samhain reminds us that there is also rebirth. In that spirit, I planted my garlic and some tulip bulbs for next year.

Last night, I led my first ritual in a year. I had needed the time off to turn inward and focus on my healing. Many Pagans view Samhain as a type of spiritual New Year, so this felt like a rebirth for me. #Druidry

Greeted our neighbors and made offerings at the home altar. Blessed Samhain, my friends! Hail to the Beloved Dead! #Druidry

Reminding myself that opinions are like assholes, life is seldom black and white, and I won’t let others’ bad experiences detract from my joy and healing. (Photo of me at a plant shop.)

On Sunday, I made a solo trip to my old friend, the stone circle. It truly felt like a homecoming. I missed these lovely sentinels. I said hello and promised to return soon. #Druidry

On Friday, my husband and I attended a ghost walk in Watertown where we got to tour inside the old Masonic temple. It was fascinating! Lots of good local lore there and in the other locations we visited. #seasonofthewıtch

My husband and I are celebrating our 16th anniversary this weekend. We’ve had a tough year, but it’s been full of more good times than not. We’re healing together and are closer than ever before. 🩷

We had our first hard frost this past week, so I took some time to reflect on my garden this year and the life lessons plants always teach me. More on my blog.

Over the summer, I read Courtney Weber's excellent Sacred Tears: A Witch's Guide to Grief. I cannot recommend this book enough. Every Pagan and witch should read it.
