I need your opinion.

What would you say the game is about?

What is missing in the scene?

It is nice when things works as expected.

There is probably an easier way to do it, so I challenge anybody to do it in 1 day and see if there is a better output. I would love to share ideas.

In my infinite terrain streaming system I decoupled CPU load/unload (red) vs GPU activate/deactivate (blue) into two separate (intersecting) hysteresis zones. I also added a trait to support different zone shapes.

Vesper's Hunt will go to the next Steam Next Fest.

Release date is also set.

Gonna start contacting influencers. Any advice is welcome.

Wish me luck!

Talking with students the other day.
They said they’re developers and artists.
So talented, I thought.

“How do you develop?” — Copy AI code into Unity C#.
“And art?” — Use Blender a bit.

Me: I’m a musician. I normalize audio files volume in Audacity.

Level 3. Art really takes hours. Like programming. If you see any error please say it. Otherwise I will leave it the whole night rendering.

After this, only polishing the game and release the server for multiplayer. The release is getting closer.

Have you ever considered translating your game into chinese or japanese?

Studying the traffic that reached Vesper's Hunt Steam page, 30% speak chinese, 6% japanese. 40% english.

What is the different in size between using low poly assets vs lots of vertices assets?

Level 1 (the house, if you doubt, the one with the piano): 850Mb
Level 3 (the castle): 5.4Mb

Punch line: the definition depends on the distance to the camera

I need your opinion. I am working on the visuals of the characters in Vesper's Hunt. Vampires has pale face and yellowish eyes, but I dont feel ok with the contrast. Werewolves are blue with red eyes. Any opinion or idea?

I need your opinion one time more! I am testing whether coloring arcs helps visually to join the nodes or not. Four options:
A - monocolor
B - grayscale
C - same colors as cards
D - different colors

Which one you feel it is better?

I need your opinion. How do you see the "shadow effect" when dragging a card?

I guess time is never wasted. I tried a new look for a jam game. Wrong path, but found colors can be interesting, so the first idea evolved. Never stop exploring.

Nothing like letting your 10 years old nephew play your game to realise how much you can improve the UX.

There should be a service for testing games: tenyo.nephew.com

In my discord server I am making a list of the artists I did work with (music and art). The idea is to have a list of artists to look at when you are in need.

Wanna join and share yours?

It’s one of those times when you can support an indie dev and it costs you nothing.

Vesper's Hunt demo is out!

And yes, it’s a niche game!

Retweets and likes are life-changing right now.

A promise is a promsie. This is the whole code for the carousel. I did not develop any extra functionality that was not needed. It is a Control with a HBoxContainer as a child. An automaton to control the dragging and the last state to make a tween to complete the drag.

If anyone interested in how to make the "carrousel" in Godot I can post the code.

Gonna test, if I don't find any bug, I will release a Demo of Vesper's Hunt!

Does anyone has a Developer Google Play Account? I keep getting notifications for closing the account because I do not upload a new app or update in 2 months.

How do you handle it?

How many of you have used Ducking in the game? I got this from ovani newsletter. I find it quite interesting.
