On Friday I got an email saying my claim was successful & we'll be getting a refund for that half of the tickets as well.

It really does frustrate me that everywhere has this kind of process now, but *always* appeal (or get someone to help you do so) when you can.

Reason given being "We offer compensation to a maximum of a full day’s travel (pro-rata)."

So I appealed.

Can't remember exact phrasing but along the lines of "Just because you don't class Welshpool to Maidstone & back as a day trip doesn't mean we don't."

I think we might start with getting some track laid & trains moving first 😆

I'd use liquid mask.

Smells awful but works brilliantly.

If you've not come across it before, you paint it on the areas you don't want paint on*, leave it to dry for however long the instructions say, do your painting, then rub / peel it off when the paint is fully dry.

Kind of magic imo.

Inspired by Welshpool with its cattle docks that used to serve the mainline & narrow gauge railways.

I ran out of time to build the cattle dock how I wanted so decided to have it in the middle of refurbishment 😆

& in the car on the way there & back we were discussing potential TT:120 layout which could be built with transporting to exhibitions in mind...
