should i make a video about time signatures again? im considering it, especially now that im trying to move away from using "popular examples" in favour of indie artists and my own material.

im watching some of the popular videos on time signatures for fun and the amount of time spent explaining 6/8 and 3/4 is so absurd to me, especislly when the song in the background legitimately just sounds like 4/4 triplets

3/4 sounds completely different from triplets IMO, it actually feels like an odd time signature with the snare on either beat 2 or 3.

6/8 is useless. it just is to me, theres no reason to ever use 6/8 to describe music unless its in relation to an x/4 time signature. like irrational siggies.

thats kinda wild. honestly that kinda makes me hope that someone, someday, will make a game that has the majority of its content completely hidden away in obscurity. like... literally 95% or some shit of the game is just a massive secret that keeps going. OMORI is probably the closest we've got

all you have to do to start the hikkikomori route as far as im aware is just not answer to kel knocking on the door and to go back to sleep instead. either that or start working on your chores. there are tutorials on youtube i think

like sure undertale hides the genocide run from you, you only fight sans if you specifically grind monsters which is a waste of time usually; but OMORI literally hides the entirety of snowglobe mountain from you when you play the game normally. WHAT GAME DEVELOPER DOES THIS??? its SO FUCKING COOL

omori is awesome. so wildly inspiring just from a game design standpoint. the kinda shit that makes you wanna hide half your game behind a random event. yume nikki hid shit from you but at most it was like a single room, OMORI hides half of itself from you and you only find it if you stumble upon it

like are you kidding me? omocat literally didnt need to create the hikkikomori route at all and the game woulda been 20/10 but no the world needed headspace 2, we needed a sequal to the game in the same game, and it needs some of the most absurd horror elements you've ever fucking seen ever

like the amount of content hidden behind staying indoors is stupid. its awesome, and its so intriguing from a lore and character perspective. we literally learn all we need to know about sunny in the base game but you never stop to consider how killing big mole guy at the start affects sunny's brain
