i think the takeaway should not be that isopropanol is not damaging but instead that ethanol is more damaging than most people think.

fun fact isopropanol basically has the same adverse health ethanol. just 4 times as strong. and you also get drunk from it but 4 times as hard.

so in theory you could substitute the alcohol in an alcoholic drink for a quarter isopropanol and it should be fine
