Final update: the power came back up at #BWI about 11:30. Currently on our plane awaiting the clear for takeoff. The staff at the airport were excellent and the crowd stayed both congenial and patient. A cheer erupted when the lights came back on and TSA got us through quickly.

Update: I haven't seen the proof here at Terminal A, checkpoint B yet ... but per someone on Twitter, another terminal has seen power starting to be restored.

Nope ... first time its ever happened to me ... though the same thing happened at this airport last July.

Ugh ... I passed by the Southwest check in computers and heard the ticketing agent say, "oh, the monitors just went down, give it a moment". I got in the TSA line and realized that "moment" was going to be a long one.

Well, all is still civil. We're now over an hour. They've done a good job of bringing out chairs for those who need them. I've altered my view to adjust
