#GardenBirds , number... er... 9. I missed out number 9!

A raven, usually hard to see but easy to hear with its "gronk gronk" noise.

So still 32 species photographed, 2 more seen this year (crow and Chiffchaff)

#GardenBirds A slightly better picture of the treecreeper, but I really need to stake out the top of the garden and get a bit closer.

#GardenBirds Glancing idly out the window when this one flew in and perched on the branch where the hanging feeders are. Probably enticed by the doves, but in no way fast enough to catch anything. Hello Buzzard!

#GardenBirds , number 32. A terrible picture at long range (800mm equivalent) taken through a dirty window as quickly as I could, but it counts - Treecreeper! Only the second time I've seen one.

32 species photographed, 2 more seen this year.

#GardenBirds , number 31. A dull windy day and a Buzzard appears - quite rare to see perching, they can be seen in the air quite often, though not as often as the Red Kites.

So... 31 species photographed this year.

#GardenBirds , so close, if only I'd been framing slightly differently when the Red Kite took off... and a faster shutter speed. I'm a total amateur at this!

#GardenBirds , number 30. Finally a Red Kite graced the top of our tree and spent long enough calling for me to notice and grab my camera. This is at 800mm zoom equivalent (OM-1 so 400mm lens).

Note the #bluesky behind too!

#GardenBirds , This is why we leave the thistles to go to seed - the Goldfinches love them. We've got flocks of Goldfinches around the area this year.

#GardenBirds , Bought a squirrel feeder box to reduce them taking stuff from bird feeders. Jackdaws' are taking revenge.

#GardenBirds , Percy loves sultanas. All male blackbirds are called Percy apparently, unless they have significant distinguishing features - we've had Dippy, Patch (x2), Lopez and Tubby as well.

#GardenBirds , another new addition... Great Tit fledgling! Here shouting to get fed. They've got the hang of the fat ball feeder now so aren't quite as noisy.

#GardenBirds , a very new addition... Blue Tit fledgling! Super cute. Seems to have got the hang of the peanut feeder too.

Few of them around, tweet tweeting away. Not the only baby tits either...

#GardenBirds , no 29. Last of the pictures I've got so far - the chaffinch. Always around but hard to get a reasonable photo.

Visitors seen in the past year but still to get a picture of - Crow, Raven, Buzzard, Red Kite.

#GardenBirds , no 28. I'm getting to the end of my species list - these have all been seen in the garden since January.

Not a great picture, but here's a male greenfinch.

#GardenBirds , our local killer in the sun last week. Starlings hide in the Honeysuckle, #SparrowHawk gets frustrated and sits around looking haughty.

I think it's a female from what I've read. So it's Mrs Sparrowhawk to be formal.

#GardenBirds , it's not rained here for weeks so the bird bath is getting busier. Here's Patch, a male blackbird with a white patch, getting his scrub on.

#GardenBirds , no 27. Finally! A Goldfinch. They're often around but don't really hang about in our garden. Had a pair of them the past few days and managed to get close enough for a decent pic. Pretty colours but a bit odd looking for me.

#GardenBirds , not a new species but a cute post-bath Blue Tit I watched yesterday, having a serious preen. Gotta look your best in the Spring!

#GardenBirds , number 26. Bit of a rarer one this, and the @birdsoftheworld.bsky.social Merlin app was the key. Saw a Firecrest come up for a few days running so after some human sound location managed to find it in the conifers! Very happy.

#GardenBirds , number 25. The Pheasant. Does this count? It's a bird and was in the garden, but not exactly "wild".

We do get them coming in on occasion, but definitely not a regular. It mooched around for an hour then flapped off.
