Mary by Nat Cassidy. Can be a little slow but gets wild.
The beast you are by Paul Tremblay. A collection of short horror stories. Not all are good but some really stuck out.
The staircase in the woods by chuck wendigo. The characters can be a little much but had some real what the fuck moments

The boatman's by Andy Davidson. Things just happen in that book that had me like what.
Ghost eaters by clay mcleod Chapman. I usually don't like his writing but I loved the exploration of grief tied to weird happenings.
Old soul by Susan barker. Was a weird one that made me think.

Edenville by Sam Rebelein had good cosmic horror splashed in. The author made two more books involving the world if you like the first.
Silver Nitrate by silivia moreno-garcia. This one stuck with me.
Cabin at the end of the world by Paul tremblay. not pants shitting but a bit altering.

I also have audio processing disorder but no one has ever brought up there might be a solution to the mess of noise. I'm so happy for you!!
