I had a lovely time seeing William Drummond of Haw-haw-haw-thornden (aka @stephengb.bsky.social) in Edinburgh's portrait gallery. He's a humorous fellow, you know.

I'm currently trying to choose a cover image for my book. I can't use an engraving, but I wish I could incorporate part of this one by Hendrick Goltzius from 1588! It's gorgeous.

Sic Phaetontaeus nimium temeraria lapsus.

Hi! I'm looking forward to reconnecting with those I used to follow on *theotherplace*, as well as connecting with lots of new people.

My first offering is an extract from a miscellany housed in the Beinecke Lib. Like it, I bring "Northerne fogges, & funny aire".
